What happens during the procedure?
After receiving approval from your doctor, we'll prepare your lips with a topical anesthetic, ensuring you feel as comfortable as possible.
Your nurse will then use a thin needle for the filler application, precisely injecting just beneath the skin's surface for improved comfort and safety.
Rest assured, you're in caring hands every step of the way.
What happens after the procedure?
Following your procedure, your nurse will massage the treated areas to ensure the filler settles evenly and beautifully.
We'll then keep a close eye on you for about 15 minutes, just to make sure you're feeling well.
It's normal for your lips to swell or show some bruising, which typically eases within 48 hours, though sometimes it can take up to a week.
We're here to make sure your recovery is as comfortable and smooth as possible.
Are there any pre/post procedure care instructions?
Before your treatment, please take a little break from any skin treatments like chemical peels or microdermabrasion for a week, and hold off on alcohol, sunbathing, or blood thinners for 24 hours beforehand.
After your treatment, we recommend taking it easy for 24 hours—no exercise or alcohol, and please avoid touching the treated area or heading to saunas and swimming pools.
Don't forget to schedule a follow-up visit with us 2 weeks later for a check-up.
Lip fillers are not just about enhancing your beauty; with our medical team's expertise, they're also about ensuring your safety and achieving effective results.

Lip fillers aren’t permanent and slowly wear away over time. This can take up to 12 months depending on your metabolism. If your metabolism is high, lip fillers will wear away faster. You can always top up to maintain your desired volume.
You may experience mild pain at the injection site which will slowly wear away within 12 to 24 hours.
Use of lip fillers when pregnant is not medically approved in Australia as no studies have been performed to ascertain its safety during pregnancy.
Once your medical doctor has given us the green light to go ahead, your nurse injector will apply topical anaesthetic to your lips. This will numb your lips so you won’t feel any pain and the process can be carried out comfortably. A thin needle will then be used to inject the filler no deeper then approximately 2.5mm into your skin.
After the procedure, your nurse injector may gently massage the area so the filler absorption is symmetric and uniform. We will also monitor you for approximately 15 minutes to ensure you don’t experience any side effects, including dizziness, nausea or bleeding. You lips
may be swollen and appear bruised and may take upto 48 hours to subside. In some cases, this may take up to a week.
Lip fillers can be given to anyone except those who are mentioned below:
Patients with known hypersensitivity to the filler ingredients
Pregnant or breastfeeding mums
People under the age of 18
Your comprehensive consultation will include a thorough check of your medical history and skin for eligibility of the treatment.
