Does hydrodermabrasion / cosmofacial hurt?
Hydrodermabrasion/Cosmofacial don't hurt. It uses a treatment specific spiral suction handpiece that uses vortex technology to deeply exfoliate the skin. Much like a suction pipe being run across your face. The system has various handpieces to exfoliate, spray toners, perform ultrasound massage, cool massage, scrubbing plate, etc to perform a complete skin care treatment leaving your skin feeling dewy and refreshed.
How do hydrodermabrasion/cosmofacial differ from a chemical peel or microdermabrasion?
Chemical peels are most effective on lighter skin tones and can cause severe complications for darker skin types. Microdermabrasion uses manual extractions and a diamond tip to exfoliate the skin which can be mechanically abrasive. Hydrodermabrasion uses vortex technology where water/glycolic acid is the suctioning ingredient causing less damage and downtime post treatment.
Is the treatment customisable?
Absolutely. Your skincare professional will discuss your areas of concern and recommend a personalised treatment plan for you. This can include combined treatments with either an IPL or laser peel.
When can I see results?
Visible results are seen just from one treatment and can last for a week or two. One treatment a month is recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, oily and clogged pores.
